I'm going to begin by re-capping some of the updates overnight, list a few sites to go to for more info, then leave it as an open thread for updates. Please rec this up so that it stays up for a while. Anyone who is willing to post the next installment when this scrolls off, speak up.
Iowa national delegate selection begins
Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 10:17:59 PM PDT
John Deeth has a district-by-district breakdown and some additional commentary at:
http://jdeeth.blogspot.com/...
Briefly, Saturday, April 26, the Iowa Democratic Party holds district conventions at 5 sites around the state, one in each of the 5 congressional districts. Some 2,500 Iowans are expected to take part in the next step in the state's delegate selection process, and the first selection of actual national delegates who will represent the state in Denver.
Normally, nobody but Iowa democrats would care about these district conventions, but with every national delegate gained or lost the subject of intense interest and speculation, this is a very different year. Here's a summary of where the delegate count seems to be, going into the day.
